Postponed the meeting of the Social Dialogue Table after the request of CCOO

The union made the request after learning of the PNV’s vote against the labor reform.

The Basque Government, Confebask and the unions have agreed to postpone the meeting of the Social Dialogue Table scheduled for next Tuesday after the request to do so from the CCOO after the vote against the labor reform of the PNV in the Congress of Deputies.

Sources from the Basque Department of Labor and Employment have explained that this decision has been taken after the councilor for this area and second vice-lehendakari, Idoia Mendia, has transferred the CCOO’s request to all the agents present in this forum.

“After the contrast of opinions, the position agreed by the Basque Government, Confebask and the unions is to attend to the request of the CCOO”, the same sources have specified.

The meeting, the first of the two plenary sessions held by this body each year, will be held within the period established in the institutionalization decree, that is, in the first quarter of the year.

In this first meeting of the year approves the annual plan of this body, as well as the agreements that have been carried out by the different working groups that operate within the scope of the Social Dialogue Table, which neither ELA nor LAB attend by their own decision.

The lehendakariIƱigo Urkullu, expressed his wish that the CCOO continue working in the Social Dialogue Roundtable, stating last Friday that “what is logical and positive is the continuity of what works and the Social Dialogue Roundtable in Euskadi is working well”.
