The latest Mining Statistics Bulletin (BEM) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) reported that the job in the mining sector reached a historic result in 2021 with an average of 227,407 workers.
This good performance reveals the solid recovery of mining activity after the onslaught of the coronavirus pandemic, which resulted in strict health regulations from the Government. By virtue of this, during 2020, the mining titleholders maintained only the minimum personnel to carry out the critical activities of their operations.
