The two UPN deputies agree to support the labor reform but do not share it

The votes of UPN are decisive for the Spanish Government to carry out this text, which is not supported by several of the usual members of the Executive.

The two UPN deputies in Congress have withdrawn from their party’s decision to support the validation of the labor reform and do not share it; “It is very difficult for me to defend the guideline that my party has given,” underlined deputy Sergio Sayas, while Carlos García Adanero considers it “an error.”

Upon his arrival at Congress, where this morning the decree is being debated and validated, Sayas has insisted that he does not share the decision of his formation, which yesterday agreed to say yes to the reform.

The other Navarre deputy, García Adanero, spoke along the same lines. In statements to Efe, he stated that regardless of the content of the decree, if your vote is decisive, “UPN cannot support Sánchez, a president with the votes of EH Bildu, while in Navarra it is a priority partner of Chivite”.

He explained that at yesterday’s party executive meeting, it was considered that if the UPN vote was decisive, it would have to be given in exchange for “something important.”

However, he has complained that the president of the Union of the Navarrese People (UPN), Javier Esparza, has not said anything about it and has not even spoken with the two deputies of the formation.

To this is added, he stated, that “Pedro Sánchez is not trustworthy” and as an example is “the vote against his partners, because he has not complied”.
