Electronic system used by Sunat has allowed 94% of administrative activities to be notified electronically. This represents an approximate saving of S / 300 million in terms of stationery and storage for the State.
The National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) reported that the electronic notification system has facilitated that more than one million taxpayers and users of foreign trade have timely notification of their contributions, as well as their electronic files and applications.
Through a press release, Sunat reported that using this type of electronic solutions represents a significant saving in State resources.
“94% of SUNAT’s administrative activities are notified electronically. It is estimated that there are about 34 million documents that allowed a reduction in complaints associated with the notification process by 92%, ”he said in a press release.
This electronic notification system began to be carried out in 2015 and represented savings in terms of the use of paper, printing and courier service. Integrated technological solutions can be evidenced in the use of taxpayers’ SOL mail, they text messages for alerts as well as emails, informed Luis Enrique Vera Castillo, national superintendent.
Sunat: electronic monitoring
Since 2016, Sunat implemented the electronic file. To date, more than 6.5 million electronic files have been generated. This type of system would have generated a saving of S / 300 million in terms of paper, messaging, storage, which are no longer necessary.
Electronic systems allow taxpayers to send and track their documents virtually. “This technological solution frees users from the need to go to the SUNAT offices to present the physical documents of their procedures, saving time and money for them,” reported Superintendent Vera Castillo.
