Mercedes Vitoria maintains production for next week and will work three Saturdays in February

Between Monday and Friday of next week, productive activity will be maintained in the three work shifts. In addition, the assembly and painting sectors must work on February 12, 19 and 26.

The Mercedes plant in Vitoria-Gasteiz will maintain, “in principle”, production between Monday and Friday of next week, in its three shifts, as announced by the management this Friday. It has also announced that the assembly and painting sectors will have to work three Saturdays, on February 12, 19 and 26.

The management has reported, through a statement, that “uncertainty” remains regarding the supply of parts for the factory, and that the management is making “every effort” possible to continue to meet its production commitments despite to this problem.

The uncertainty in the supply of semiconductors has caused various stoppages in production in recent months in this company. The last important stop took place at the end of last year, from December 17 to January 3.
