More than 30 experts will present the situation of the global shrimp market at the Aquaexpo Guayaquil 2021

At the event, more than 150 companies will show their products and advances at the Guayaquil Convention Center.

With the participation of around 150 national and foreign companies, the Aquaexpo Guayaquil 2021 starts this Monday, October 25, at the Convention Center, in a commercial context that places the crustacean as the main Ecuadorian non-oil export product with $ 3,175 million in foreign exchange income from January to August, which represents 27% more than the same period in 2020.

The event, organized by the National Chamber of Aquaculture (CNA) which has been holding it for two decades, in addition to the commercial exhibition that will have 200 stands, will offer a specialized congress with the participation of more than 30 international and Ecuadorian speakers who They will update their knowledge on various topics.

Non-oil shipments grew 9% until August, but the logistics crisis worries the export sector

Among these are the new trends applied to the industry; nutrition and feeding strategies; health management in cropping systems; sustainability; genetic improvement; shrimp market situation; crop production and management.

The first conference presentation, on Tuesday from 09:00, will be given by Luis Alejandro Daqui, from Cargill, who will present the topic: ‘Profitability and sustainability in shrimp farming as a result of the use of adequate early nutrition’. Then, from 09:30, Víctor Beneito, representative of Bioiberica in Spain, will address the topic: ‘Innovative strategies to improve health and reduce costs through nutrition with nucleotides’.

Other experts will also be present, such as Pierrick Kersanté, from BCF Life Sciences, from France; Dafna Israel, from Phibro Aqua, from Israel; Sergio Nates, from Prairie Aquatech, from the United States; Rodolfo Velasco, from Sanipes, from Peru; Xavier Romero, from Empagran, from Ecuador, among others.

The event will be repeated in face-to-face format, as in the 2020 edition and will have all the biosafety and distancing measures.

The previous year, the CNA recalled that respecting the capacity established at that time, it had the participation of more than 60 national and foreign companies linked to the industry and the congress had 30 international and Ecuadorian exhibitors.

In addition, Aqua Expo Guayaquil 2021, which will be open until Thursday, October 28, will implement temperature control for all attendees who enter the venue, verification of the correct use of the mask and distancing in all areas.
