Pedro Castillo signed a letter of acceptance from Peru to start the process of accession to the OECD

The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, today signed Peru’s letter of acceptance to begin the process of accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which is made up of the 38 most powerful economies in the world.

Given this, the president thanked the invitation and stated that it is the first formal step for Peru to become a full member of the OECD, which will be taken as a challenge.

In this regard, Castillo Terrones urged all sectors and entities of the State to continue deploying maximum efforts to achieve this goal. He also said that this accession process will go hand in hand with several reforms seeking to improve the public policies of the country.

This process will be characterized by necessary reforms in all the sectors that the country needs and regulatory adjustments at all levels with a view to improving our public policies, promoting good governance and having an efficient and institutionally solid State capable of providing higher quality public services for our population”, indicated the Head of State.
