Banco Guayaquil launches its new version of mobile app, which includes a summary of expenses and income

The change was made after analyzing more than 10,000 comments on its platform.

Banco Guayaquil presented the new version of its mobile application available in Apple, Android and Huawei stores.

The change occurred after analyzing more than 10,000 comments on its platform and conducting interviews to learn about the different use cases that they give to the application.

Then, it was complemented with feedback from all the bank’s collaborators to launch the app.

“We listen to your every word and suggestion, and turn it into action, into an app that is 100% focused on you, the user. An application that we made together with you, which is made by you. This is a great first step and milestone in this bank that we are building together,” said Guillermo Lasso Alcívar, Executive Vice President of Banco Guayaquil.

The app has several functionalities such as the greeting. Here the client decides how he wants the app to tell him. For example, instead of saying Good morning María Gabriela (full name) now greets in a personalized way: First Gaby.

Accounts can also be placed as favorites. This in reference to those that are most used to make transfers or payments as basic services.

Banco Guayaquil improves its banking experience with its customers

The most recent activity is now seen with the app. And the steps to make a transfer are minimized.

In another section is financial health, which consists of an annual and monthly summary of expenses and income so that customers know how much they saved and how much they spent and thus keep better control of their finances.

Jorge Hurtado, Vice President of Digital Transformation, explained that when they considered making the change, it was difficult to design an ideal app for all clients, but they could design an app that each client could customize as they preferred. “An app that knows how you like to be called, that allows you to define which products you want to see frequently and which products you don’t, that allows you to choose who your favorite contacts or companies are, that allows you to create quick access to the most frequent transactions Hurtado said.

Angelo Caputi, executive president of Banco Guayaquil, mentioned that the entity has designed a closer and simpler app. “We will continue to listen to you, we will continue to improve and, above all, we will continue to do it together,” he concluded.

For this 2022, the bank will continue with the innovation process. (I)
