It is not up to Perupetro to extend the terms of the multisectoral commission for the massification of gas

Perupetro clarified that it is not up to it to modify the terms of the Multisectoral Commission for the mass use of natural gas.

This after the request of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE), to extend the term for the actors of the hydrocarbon industry to issue their comments or suggestions on the final report of said commission, which was issued on Last Saturday, January 22.

“The Multisectoral Commission for the massification of natural gas at the national level and the presentation of the Final Report to the Ministry of Energy and Mines have an established deadline, the same that was extended by Supreme Resolution No. 002-2022-PCM, until December 28. January 2022 (…) It is not up to Perupetro to modify any term related to said Multisectoral Commission”, the entity emphasized.

Likewise, Perupetro stressed that the report contains “a series of recommendations that may be discussed with the private sector, as appropriate, at the time each of these becomes viable.”
