The Private Investment Promotion Agency (Proinversión) reported that to date the public tenders for the construction of the EsSalud hospitals in Piura and Chimbote (Áncash) have attracted the interest of companies from Europe, America and Asia.
The agency pointed out that a total of 18 companies have paid their right to participate in the EsSalud Hospital contest in Chimbote (Áncash) and 19 in the EsSalud Hospital contest in Piura.
“Because of this high interest, so far, more than 1,000 comments have been received in each contest, which are being evaluated and, if applicable, incorporated into the new version of the concession contract”, Proinversión mentioned in a press release.
The hospital projects will involve a joint investment of S/ 998 million, and awards are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.
The cost of both projects will be covered with the contributions of policyholders and will directly benefit more than 530,000 policyholders in the Ancash region, and more than 1,100,000 policyholders in the Piura and Tumbes regions.
Finally, Proinversión highlighted that the Chimbote Hospital will generate 796 stalls work of care and non-care personnel, while in the Piura Hospital they will be 1,234 seats.
