MEF: Executive will observe the Fonavi contribution refund law

The Executive Branch will observe the law approved by the Plenary Session of Congress that seeks to guarantee the return of Fonavi contributions, according to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke.

“We understand that an injustice has been committed with sectors of workers whose salaries have been deducted without the legal basis and without the corresponding consideration, but on the other hand, a tax burden of S/ 42,000 million seems to us to be something that significantly unbalances the stability of public finances”, sustained the head of the MEF.

He added that they will seek a consensus with Congress to find another alternative that solves the demands of the Fonavistas.

“We want to work with Congress and dialogue to find a solution to the Fonavi problem, but accepting a charge of S / 42,000 million is too large and would violate the spending initiative rule of Congress,” he said.

It should be noted that in April of last year, Law 31173 was approved for the return of Fonavi contributions to about 2 million older adults who are waiting; has not been executed to date. And from the Congress they approved last month an autograph with precisions to guarantee the fulfillment of this norm.

We understand that an injustice has been committed that significantly unbalances public finances

corresponds, we want to work congress to find a solution fonavistas does not imply excessive tax burden..

42,000 million large would imply congresses.

We propose that we want to work with congressional sectors to find a solution, but accepting a charge of 42,000 million is too great a burden and would definitely violate the congressional spending initiative rule.

.convinced last year’s policy involved facilitating emergency resources public investment has been perfectly cosnittutional ciumpli urgency and that it is essential to achieve results

We believe that there is injustice to repair the case of FONAVISTA workers, but the way the congressional law was approved implies a large burden on the treasury, which would unbalance fiscal returns and break the rule, Congress should not have an spending initiative. We think that we should go back to work with Congress to find a better solution…
