In a statement, the company assured that the fresh milk would not have presented the optimal quality and safety to be considered for collection, which is why they decided to end their relationship with the company that carried out the collection in that area.
“The quality and safety of our products is non-negotiable, our policies and procedures guarantee the highest level of protection for our consumers. Likewise, they are backed by rigorous supervision at all levels of production and comply with national and international regulatory standards”, he began in his letter sent to this newspaper.
“In line with this, we have made the decision to cut the collection of fresh milk from the Egamilk EIRL collector, which after various quality controls and warnings, has not met the required parameters, due to poor sanitary practices in its production. collection chain,” Nestlé specified.
Likewise, the company reported that the dairy company was informed of the decision to no longer have its services so that farmers seek other options to sell their product.
“This supplier (Egamilk) collects the raw material from various ranchers in the Cañete area and to minimize the impact on them, we have informed them, in a timely manner, that we would progressively cut the collection so that they have the necessary time to relocate its production”, he concluded.
