The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced at a PSOE event held in Gijón that 6.5 billion euros will be allocated to this issue.
The Secretary General of the PSOE and President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Saturday that the Council of Ministers next Tuesday will proceed to the update of almost 10 million pensions for the year 2022, an issue to which 6.5 billion euros will be allocated.
As an example, he pointed out that a minimum pension of 637 euros in 2017 he would have received 646 euros this year with the model designed by the PP, but with the new one he will earn 720 euros each month, 74 more than without the reform.
In the case of average or widow’s pension, compared to 649 euros four years ago, this year they will rise to 711, while an average retirement pension that was 1,071 euros in 2017 will increase this year to 1,112 euros, above the 1,085 that it would receive if it were still in force the model implanted by the popular.
Sánchez has made this announcement in a political act of the PSOE that has taken place with reduced capacity in a room of the auditorium of the Gijón trade fair.
