Spill in Ventanilla: Sunafil controls working conditions of personnel hired by Repsol

The National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil) reported that it appointed a team of labor inspectors to monitor the conditions under which the personnel hired by the Repsol company work for the environmental remediation of Cavero beach, located in the district of Ventanilla.

The supervisory body indicated that they verify that the workers have received the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for the tasks they perform, as well as compliance with the preventive measures against COVID-19 and that they have the Complementary Risk Work Insurance (SCTR).

Sunafil indicated that, in the event of non-compliance with the protection, safety and health measures of the personnel hired by the Repsol company, it could impose a fine of up to S/ 241,638.

For their part, labor inspectors demanded the implementation of downhill equipment improvements used by workers to access certain areas of Cavero beach so that they can guarantee their safety.
