The Ministry of Agriculture (Midagri) established the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of carrot seeds (Daucus carota L.) of origin and provenance in the Republic of Chile.
Through the director’s resolution Nº 0002-2022-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSV, published today in El Peruano, it was established that the shipment must have the phytosanitary import permit issued by the National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa).
Likewise, the shipment must come in new containers indicating the lot number and country of origin. In addition, it must be free of soil, plant debris or any other seed other than the authorized product. The product may not enter unless the presence of pests certified by Senasa is ruled out.
