Spill in Ventanilla: Repsol must submit schedule for oil cleanup

the owner of the Ministry of Environment (Minam), Rubén Ramirez, reported that the Repsol company promised to deliver tomorrow a work schedule on the degraded area as a result of the oil spill in the Ventanilla Sea.

“Tomorrow (Thursday) the company is going to deliver a schedule with a certain date. What matters to us is a work module that has to be scrupulously fulfilled”, he said.

He also reported that the work module identifies critical points of environmental and social damage in a timed manner.

“The work module consists of timed direct actions with a certain date, which will be supervised by the State, but the most important are two points: the environmental issue, damage and degradation, but also the social issue. And the social issue is important because activities such as artisanal fishing have been affected,” he clarified.
