Reconstruction with Changes: MTC installed 93 modular bridges during 2021

During 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) completed the installation of 93 modular bridges as part of Reconstruction with Changes.

These structures benefit almost a million Peruvians in 10 regions: Áncash, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Huancavelica, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima and Piura.

They also connect localities, districts and provinces, in addition to enabling the safe and efficient movement of passengers and products by minimizing travel times and creating optimal conditions for vehicular traffic.

The MTC noted that, of the 93 modular bridges that were completed, Huacachaloque stands out (57 meters), located in the district of Santa, province of the same name, in the department of Áncash. Its investment amount was S/ 1.5 million.

While in Piura the Quevedos bridge (54 meters) was placed. This was installed in the district of Sóndor, in the province of Huancabamba, with an investment of S/ 1.6 million. Meanwhile, in the district of Laredo, province of Trujillo, La Libertad region, the Cacique bridge (60 meters) was incorporated, which required an investment of S/ 331,000.

Finally, the MTC projected by 2022 to place another 99 metallic structures as part of the RCC. These roads will be installed in 11 regions and will benefit more than 2 million compatriots. More than S/ 130 million will be invested.
