In this way, the currency decreased by 0.49% compared to the close of the last Thursday, January 13, when it stood at S / 3.8910. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S/ 3.87 and the sale at S/ 3.92. As for the price of the dollar in the Banco de Credito del Peru, it stands at S/ 3.95 for purchase and S/ 3.79 for sale.

During the day, the issuing entity went to the market to sell S/ 7,600 million at an average interest rate of 2.92% per dollar to mitigate the volatility of the currency. In addition, it placed interest rate swaps for S/ 25 million.
