As reported by the Bilbao Exhibition Center, 2021 was “a year of recovery of activity” and it faces this year “with optimism” and is preparing to “receive new international events”.
The Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) closed last year with the celebration of a total of 207 events in which they participated 789 523 visitors with an economic impact of 45.5 million euros.
Thanks to the 207 events held (26 fairs, 159 in the conventions and events section and 22 in the Bizkaia Arena) the fairground was occupied for 289 days. In addition, 959 jobs were created.
As reported by the BEC in a statement, 2021 was “a year of recovery of activity” at the Basque fairgrounds with a program that “became more dynamic as the months progressed”, despite the effects of the pandemic.
The BEC faces the 2022 “optimistically” and is preparing to “receive new international events” in an exercise that highlights the celebration of the 31st edition of the International Machine Tool Biennial, in June, which will bring together leading companies in advanced manufacturing
