Corporación El Rosado -owners of the brands- made the announcement in a statement and assured that their sources of employment will not be affected.

The El Rosado Corporation announced his departure from Quicentro Shopping, located in the north of Quito.

The shopping center is owned by the business group DK Management, which also manages San Marino Shopping, in Guayaquil, and Mall del Pacífico, in Manta.

Through a statement, Corporación El Rosado mentioned that it accompanied the shopping center since its inception and that it was denied the renewal of contracts.

Despite “having fully complied with the commitments acquired, the management and the owner of the shopping center have refused to renew our lease contracts,” the letter says.

In addition, the economic group assured that they will not lay off their workers and that their clients “will enjoy new premises” in that city. They consider it a “coup”, but one that “further increases their commitment to Quito.”

DK Management announced that they would respond in a statement. Throughout the afternoon they said they were working on it and waiting for approval, but so far they have not responded.

It was known that they are working on a renovation of their establishments, but they have not made an official statement.

Quicentro Shopping has been operating in the capital for more than 20 years.

According to the 2021 Ranking of the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance Companies (Supercias), Corporación El Rosado is one of the ten companies with the highest income in 2021 with $ 1,249,085.

Last August, it went back to the stock market to find financing for $ 40 million, with the idea of ​​continuing its expansion plan.

An issue of commercial paper for that amount was registered in the Guayaquil Stock Exchange (BVG).
