Dollar in Peru: exchange rate continues to fall at the opening and is quoted at S / 3.9472

The dollar exchange rate it started down on the trading day on Tuesday, October 19, and reached S / 3.9472 at 09:10 am on the Bloomberg website. With this, the North American currency registers a setback at the close of last Monday, when it stood at S / 3,949 according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

The purchase of the dollar in the parallel market is at S / 3,935. As for the sale, it amounts to S / 3,975. Likewise, the price of the green ticket in the Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP) is quoted at S / 3,897, the purchase and sale at S / 4,003, according to the portal Cualcuestaeldolar.

Likewise, the decrease in the greenback occurs after Julio Velarde was made official as president of the BCRP by the executive, a designation that must be ratified by the Permanent Commission of Congress and the appointment of Mirtha Vásquez as president of the Council of Ministers.

In reference to the profitability of the last seven days in the international market, the US dollar registers a drop of 0.44%; but in interannual terms it still maintains an increase of 5.19%.

As reported by Reuters, if we compare the value with previous days, it chains two consecutive dates of negative numbers. The volatility referring to the last week is 3.33%, which is clearly lower than the annual volatility data (5.26%), therefore its price is showing less changes than usual in recent days.
