BVL closes with gains of 0.82% driven by the mining sector

The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) closed the day on Friday, December 7 with 11 sectors up, one down and two without variation at the end of its session on the stock market. This is the fifth consecutive session in which the BVL has closed with profit.

At the close of operations, the S & P / BVL Peru General Index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, registered a gain of 0.82% and stood at 22,355.39 points.

Similarly, the S & P / BVL Perú Selectivo index, which is made up of the 15 most traded stocks in the local market, it registered a decrease of 0.95% and ended at 596.71 units.

The actions of the sectors that posted gains were: mining with 1.11%, financial with 0.92%, consumption with 0.48% and construction with 0.03%. Services and electricity did not register variation. On the other hand, only the industrial sector finished in the red with -0.10%

This occurs after the president Pedro Castillo raised the possibility of accelerating the massification of natural gas from Camisea in the southern regions.
