The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) reported that its president, Julio Velarde, was awarded as the Central Banker of the Americas of the Year 2022 by the international magazine The Banker, from the Financial Times publishing group, in recognition of their outstanding work in 2021.
The prestigious magazine awards this recognition to central bank governors with better management to stimulate growth and stabilize their economies. This is the third award that the president of the BCRP receives from The Banker.
