The Mivivienda Fund, a company attached to the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) announced that last year 60,467 families benefited thanks to the Mivivienda and Techo Propio programs.
It should be remembered that in the previous year 12,871 operations were registered through the Mivivienda loan, being the second best placement after 2013 (13,166 loans). And the historical record of disbursements was broken with S / 1,791 million.
The best sustainable Mivivienda record was also obtained, reaching 8,592 credits in 2021.
“This year there will be a rebound in our operations with the digitization of processes, which will allow us to place 20,000 loans and provide greater agility in the review of files, reducing disbursement times to families,” said Jose Carlos Forero Monroe, manager General of the FMV.
It should be noted that 55% of the loans disbursed last year were in Lima and the remaining 45% in the interior of the country, highlighting the regions of La Libertad, Lambayeque, Piura, Arequipa, Callao and Junín.

On the side of the Family Housing Bonds (BFH) of the Techo Propio program, 2021 closed with 47,596 disbursements, which represented a budget of more than S / 1,446 million.
Of this amount, the modality of New Home Acquisition stands out, which achieved 11,239 BFH, being the highest figure since the program was created in 2003. The largest channeling of subsidies occurred in Piura, La Libertad, San Martín, Lambayeque, Ica and Lima.
Meanwhile, on the side of the Construction on Own Site modality, 36,357 family housing bonds were registered.
“With these results, we are consolidating the reactivation of the affordable housing sector, and thereby contribute to reducing the housing gap and improving the quality of life of thousands of families in the country,” said Forero Monroe.
Available homes
The Mivivienda real estate offer reaches 51,605 units available nationwide in 449 projects, where Lima and Callao reach 35,217 homes (311 projects), representing 68.24% of the total. In provinces (17,338) Piura, Lambayeque, Arequipa, Ica and La Libertad stand out.
At the level of the Techo Propio program in the New Home Acquisition modality, the offer registers 3,898 homes in Lima and Callao and 18,878 in the provinces, which add up to a total of 22,776 homes in 122 projects throughout the country. Being the macro regions north, center and east those that concentrate the greatest offer.
Thus, by departments are La Libertad (7,526 homes), Ica (5,462), Lambayeque (2,904), Ucayali (739), San Martín (716) and Piura (570), which have the highest availability of social housing.
