MEF denies that current management has hired 143 advisers

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) denied that the current management led by Pedro Francke, has hired 143 advisers under the Public Sector Management Support Fund (FAG), which had been spreading in recent days.

“The MEF does not have such a number of consultants who provide services for the ministerial office, but rather only with seven professionals and / or advisers who provide services in the advisory office”, Explained the entity through a statement.

In this regard, it specified that the other 136 professionals (specialists and analysts) provide services in the organs and organic units belonging to the Vice Ministry of Finance, Vice Ministry of Economy and the General Secretariat, which have been hired for several years and in different MEF managements, as it is directly linked to the fulfillment of their functions.

They detailed that, since the current administration of Minister Francke began, only a total of 32 professionals and / or advisers have been hired under the FAG, to provide professional services to all bodies and organic units of the ministerial office, vice ministries and the General Secretariat of the MEF, in positions that were vacant.

It is important to mention that, since the creation of the FAG, in July 1992, the ministries and various entities of the public sector have been hiring qualified professional services and / or consultancies under said fund, including the MEF, for their different bodies and organic units, following the corresponding legal procedure.

Likewise, in accordance with current regulations, the FAG It allows financing expenses of temporary hiring of professional services for the development of advice, consultancies and qualified professional activity, as well as for the performance of positions of trust that are required.
