Proinversion: Peru has more than S/33,000 million to allocate to works for taxes

Tax works: balance and projections

During 2024, awards through OXI They reached S/4,203 million through 126 projects in health, education and transport. This tool is already used in 23 regions and in recent days, Proinversion awarded the construction of the Judicial Headquarters of Cerro Colorado in Arequipa for S/33 million and the improvement of the urban mobility service in Huanchaco, La Libertad for S/167, 7 million.

According to Luis del Carpio, in 16 years of execution of the works for taxes, investments were reached that exceed S/11,000 million, of which S/4.2 billion were obtained in 2024, establishing a record in the history of this mechanism. In the accumulated, the OXI mechanism reached 639 works awarded between 2009 – 2024, which benefited with a better infrastructure and services to more than 22 million Peruvians. Mining companies are the ones that have made the largest investment in OXI, reaching a total of S/4,001 million. It is followed by companies in the financial sector (S/2,143 million), telecommunications (S/1,820 million), manufacturing (S/974 million), construction companies (S/980 million) and marketers (S/870 million).
