According to Supreme Decree No. 003-2025-EM, endorsed by the Ministers of Economy and Finance (José Salardi), and of Energy and mines (Jorge Montero), seeks to update the terms and conditions between Perupetro, in charge of negotiating exploration and exploitation contracts, and the company PETROTALPetroleum and Gas Producer, and current Lot 95 operator, its most important asset.
The original contract was approved in 2005 and has been modified on several occasions. Now, the changes are mainly focused on the first clause and on the twenty -fourth clause.
Although the details of the changes have not been specified in the legal device published this morning, remember that in the modification of the contract made in 2023 the fourth twenty -fourth clause was introduced, which established the creation of a Development Fundwhose objective was to finance projects that will benefit the communities located in the area of lot 95.
On the other hand, the first clause established the creation of the “Technical Table”, a working group that aims to analyze the problems of the communities and villages close to lot 95, in order to facilitate the taking of agreements.
