Sedapal: Ministry of Housing authorized transfer for more than US $ 36 million for free water distribution

The Safe Agua Program for Lima and Callao will be in charge of monitoring and verification of the correct use of these resources, aimed at poverty population.

Yesterday, January 29, through the Ministerial Resolution No. 030-2025-Housingthe transfer of US $ 36,737, 716 million to the company of Potable Water and Sewerage of Lima (Sedapal) for the free drinking water distribution to the population in poverty and extreme poverty in urban areas.

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), through the water safe program for Lima and Callao, it is responsible for the verification and monitoring of the physical and financial progress of the resources, and the fulfillment of the actions contained in the agreement.

The resources of the financial transfer authorized by this ministerial resolution may not be destined, under responsibility, for different purposes for which they are transferred.

What programs does the Housing Ministry have?

The Mivivienda fund has the following programs and products:

Own roof program

Oriented to helping people with lower resources. It has the following modalities:

  • New housing acquisition.
  • Construction on its own – collective postulation.
  • Construction on its own site – Individual postulation.
  • Housing improvement.

New Mivivienda credit

Oriented to facilitate the acquisition of housing to medium -sized people.

Mystructure

Oriented facilitate extensions and small constructions with particular characteristics.

Mymaterials

It is focused on facilitating the purchase of materials for household improvements under certain requirements.

What does the Housing Ministry do?

According to the Platform of the Peruvian State, it coordinates with the bodies, programs, public bodies and entities competent housing, in actions relevant to disaster risk management and national security and defense.
