“In terms of value, this could represent sales between S/800 million and s/1.2 billion in the school market, which means a relevant amount considering that this campaign represents 20% of the annual sales of these businesses,” Rodolfo Ojeda, president of the SME guild explained in the CCL.

On the cost of the school basket for this year, the CCL small business guild He projected that there will be a variation between S/300 and S/450 per student. This will depend on the quality of the selected products and the type of educational institution, whether public or private.

“A basic basket includes backpack, notebooks, blocks, pencils, pencils, drafts, colors, markers, folders, stationery, rule, scissors and rubber; In addition to school uniforms and footwear in some cases. However, if specific elements such as books, educational technology (tablets or laptops) or premium brand products are added, the cost could be widely increased, ”said Ojeda.

During this year, the price of school supplies will present moderate growth of between 3% and 5% compared to last year. This is explained by external factors such as the increase in import costs and raw materials.
