Proinversion has announced a plan for 2025 that contemplates the promotion of more than 300 projects under the mechanism of TAX WORKS (OXI). With an estimated investment in S/ 8.3 billion, these initiatives seek to improve infrastructure and services in 24 regions of the country.
The execution of these projects aims to optimize the times and quality in the development of public works, through the participation of the private sector in investment financing.
Main infrastructure projects that will be developed in regions, according to proinversion
Of the project package promoted by Proinversionseveral relevant initiatives stand out. Among them, is the construction of the Ivochote road – Camisea (110 km), with an estimated investment of S/ 550 million, and the improvement of the departmental route Route N ° HU-114 in Huánucowith a budget of S/ 324 million. In addition, the creation of the Sivia – Pichari interregional bridge is included in Ayacucho (S/ 305 million) and the improvement of the institutional habitability service in the Regional Government of Cuscowith an investment of S/ 412 million.
These projects are designed to improve interregional connectivity, facilitate access to public services and contribute to the development of communities. It should be noted that these projects are still at an early stage, so there are still no estimated dates for culmination.
Tax works: priority sectors in the investment of S/8.3 billion
Proinversion has identified important sectors for investment through the mechanism of OXI. According to the agency, the education sector represents 29% of the portfolio (S/ 2,513 million), followed by transport with 25% (S/ 2,178 million) and health with 13% (s/ 1,191 million). Other important sectors include management (12%, S/ 1,037 million) and sanitation (5%, S/ 425 million), according to José Salardi, the executive director of the entity.
The focus on these sectors seeks to meet essential infrastructure and public services needs in different locations, contributing to the social and economic development of the country.
Expectations of tax works in 2025, according to proinversion
By 2025, Proinversion plans to award 54 projects through OXIwith an estimated total amount of S/ 2,071 million. However, the projection could increase due to the increase in the participation of companies and authorities in this investment mechanism.
In 2024, 126 projects awarded by S/ 4,204 million were registered, involving 73 companies and 42 public entities that used the OXI mechanism for the first time.
Proinversion also reported that 232 projects, with a value of S/ 6355 million, are pending prioritized by responsible public entities. Also, 21 additional projects are in preliminary stages, with a budget of S/ 407 million.
