The dollar has a cumulative variation of 0.86% and in interannual terms, of 2.13%, according to the BCRP.
The exchange rate started the week on the rise at S/3.7570, according to preliminary data from Bloomberg’s international currency quote portal. That is, 0.32% more than the previous day, when it closed at S/3.7390.
In the parallel market, the greenback is priced at S/3,730 for purchase and S/3,760 for sale; while in the banking market, it is priced at S/3,713 and S/3,799 for purchase and sale, respectively.
On the other hand, Japan’s stock market suffers its biggest drop since 1987 with the Nikkei plummeting by 12.4% due to fears of a slowdown in the US and other international markets are showing the same behaviour. Likewise, Wall Street is starting the session with falls of up to 6.3% in the case of the Nasdaq.
