It is worth mentioning that the method changes depending on the type of document with which the account was created. These are the steps to recover your Yape account.

• Open the Yape app and select the Forgot your password? button on the main screen.
• Enter the cell phone number associated with your account.
• Enter the validation code received by text message.
• Upload a photo of your face to validate your identity in the app. Make sure you are in a well-lit environment.
• Create and confirm a new password. Done! You can now access Yape with your new password.

• Delete the Yape app and download it again from Google Play, App Store or Huawei AppGallery.
• Open the app and select the button: create account.
• Enter the same cell phone number you had registered and the validation code received by text message.
• Enter the same ID document that you previously registered and your email address.
• Create a 6-digit key, select the same membership method as above.

Can I make transfers between Yape and Plin?

Yes, it is possible to make transfers between Yape and Plin. This functionality was implemented thanks to a circular from the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) which promoted interoperability between both digital wallets, allowing users to send and receive money without additional costs or commissions.
