From January to July, inflation in Metropolitan Lima had an accumulated variation of 1.81%, according to preliminary data shared by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), published in the legal regulations of El Peruano.
Regarding the national data, the monthly advance of the CPI was 0.23% in Julyrecording a cumulative total of 1.53% in the first seven months of this year.
According to INEI, the interannual inflation rate in June is 2.29%, within the target range set by the BCRP (between 1% and 3%).
It is worth adding that the issuing body decided to maintain its reference interest rate at 5.75% for June, expecting that underlying inflation will continue to gradually decrease throughout the year until it falls below 3% in annual terms.
