The Regional Government of Callao reported that the works of the Costa Verde in the First Port will restart tomorrow, Wednesday, December 29, after being paralyzed for four years as a result of the corruption investigations in the Odebrecht case.
For this purpose, the Chalaco governor Dante Mandriotti will sign the contract with the company responsible for completing the expected road section in the early hours of the day. Already in September he had advanced the resumption of works that should finish by 2022.
Currently, the 5.8-kilometer work is paralyzed and presents a physical progress of 82%. The investment that initially was S / 287 million increased to S / 576 million.
The road interchange, which began in 2014, should have been concluded in 2017, the year in which it was frozen due to the corruption investigations surrounding the Odebrecht case.
