More than 17,000 requests for withdrawal from private pension funds were registered last Tuesday, July 9, according to the report AFP Association on their social networks. To date, around four million citizens have already completed this digital procedure and a large number of members have even received the deposit of their first UIT (S/5,150).
Despite this, there is still a free period to process the disbursement of the money accumulated in the AFP accounts that will end on August 17 of this year. However, this service will be temporarily disabled next Tuesday, July 23 due to an important reason. Below, find out why there will be this suspension and find out when you will be able to continue with the registration of your request.
On July 23, it will not be possible to request AFP withdrawal: why?
The affiliated to the AFP continue to register their withdrawal requests, without taking into account the last digit of their ID. This free period began on Tuesday, July 2 and will end on Saturday, August 17, according to the schedule of the Association that groups the four pension fund administrators. In addition, thousands of citizens have already received the first deposit of 1 UIT, equivalent to S/5,150.
As is public knowledge, online registration to process the disbursement of funds is done from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, it must be taken into account that the AFP Association calendar does not contemplate attention during holidays. Thus, on Tuesday, July 23, the service will be suspended, since we commemorate the Day of the Peruvian Air Force to pay tribute to the heroic act carried out by FAP Captain José Abelardo Quiñones in the context of the war against Ecuador.
After this date, AFP members will be able to continue registering their applications on Wednesday, July 24. Once the process is completed, citizens will receive a registration certificate and after two business days, they will be able to begin monitoring the status of their request.
