A mega tourism project is inaugurated in this region of Peru: it has a boardwalk, a viewing platform, docks, and measures more than 24,000 m2

After several years of waiting, the government of Dina Boluarte inaugurated the Yarinacocha boulevard, an impressive tourist project that has an investment of more than S/144 million. This building located in Ucayali covers more than 24,000 m2 and constitutes an ideal space for holding national and international events, such as the APEC Peru 2024 forum, whose date is scheduled between September 9 and 13.

This great work has a boardwalk, a dock for loading and unloading products, a viewing building that offers services for tourists and another for the port captaincy. It is worth mentioning that the regional governor of Ucayali, Manuel Gambini, was present at the opening event, accompanied by the President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Elizabeth Galdo.

New Yarinacocha boulevard inaugurated: what are its features?

Last Monday, July 8, the Yarinacocha boulevard was inaugurated in the city of Pucallpa, Ucayali region. Its infrastructure includes a boardwalk, docks for tourists and artisans, a building with a viewing platform, cafeteria and auditorium, and a captain’s office building. Also, 18 restaurants, public and ornamental lighting, as well as bathrooms and trash bins, among others, have been added. Likewise, power generators, a generator set, and areas for electric pumps and cistern machines have been added.

“Ucayali will be in the eyes of the world, as well as all of its tourist attractions and, of course, the warmth and hospitality of its population. We are sure that this construction will result in the strengthening of tourism in this region, which we hope will continue to consolidate itself as one of the most important tourist destinations in the country,” said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Elizabeth Galdo.

She also highlighted that the boardwalk will boost tourism in Ucayali, generating job opportunities and encouraging investment. For the head of Mincetur, said boulevard, implemented through the National COPESCO Plan, will improve the stay of visitors and highlight the beauty of Lake Yarinacocha, both for our compatriots and for foreigners.

Finally, he reported that in Pucallpa, his office is carrying out several works such as the remodeling of a path, the tourist interpretation signage in the Plaza de Armas of Pucallpa, as well as the renovation of the Tacna Boulevard avenue and other similar works on the Malecón del Reloj Público in that city.

Yarinacocha Boulevard will host APEC 2024

Within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), the Yarinacocha Boulevard, located in Ucayali, will host the Small and Medium Enterprise Ministerial Meeting (SMEMM), to be held from September 9 to 13. Let us remember that our country is a member of APEC. since 1998, when it was admitted along with Vietnam and Russia. This will be his third term as president pro tempore, after 2008 and 2016.

“This mega infrastructure project will attract more tourists, families will come here, small entrepreneurs will develop here, regional businesses will flourish. And everyone will be able to enjoy it. I saw the completed project this afternoon, and I could see the affection with which the population has received the boulevard. With their hospitality, more tourists will arrive. Long live Ucayali,” said the President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén.
