The average spending of Peruvians participating in Cyber Wow will be S/350, and the most in-demand products will be in the areas of fashion, footwear, technology and home furniture, according to estimates from the online sales portal Mercado Libre.
This year, the second edition of this event will take place from July 15 to 18. According to figures from the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), during this season businesses can double or even triple their sales compared to regular months.
“Therefore, it is important that every company, regardless of size, joins this event, as it will be the perfect opportunity to grow their business, reach new customers and provide them with a quality experience,” the portal said.
According to figures from Mercado Libre, the categories with the greatest growth are expected to be Fashion (75%), Footwear (65%), Laptops and Tablets (40%) and Furniture and Mattresses (40%). In addition, some categories that could surprise this season are Sports Supplements and Beauty.
Mercado Libre assures that each Cyber is a great opportunity for growth for Peruvian businesses, due to its great variety of products and special discounts, “which will encourage many people to try the experience of buying online for the first time.” In that sense, it is expected that the average ticket will be S/. 350.
“We will be participating in this event with our more than 450 official stores and we will have up to 60% discounts on thousands of products. In addition, we have free shipping nationwide for purchases over S/. 39,” said Sergio Giannotti, marketing manager of Mercado Libre.
Regarding consumer habits, the company revealed that smartphones are the preferred devices for Peruvians when making purchases. In addition, credit cards continue to be the most used method by consumers.
