The dollar has accumulated a variation of 2.89% so far this year and 5.18% year-on-year, according to the BCRP.
The exchange rate closed today at S/3.8140, 0.65% less than the previous day, when it was at S/3.8390, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).
In the parallel market, the greenback is now at S/3,805 for purchase and S/3,830 for sale; while in the banking market, it is at S/3,771 and S/3,859 for purchase and sale, respectively.
During the day, The dollar had a downward trend, mainly due to corporate supply. Likewise, US$410 million were traded on the market at an average price of S/3.8269, said Asvim Asencios, currency trader at Renta4 SAB.
On the other hand, inflation data for June in the Eurozone was released today at 2.5% and the unemployment rate at 6.4%, in line with market expectations, Asencios stressed.
