The dollar exchange rate started July on the rise and stood at around S/3.8390 on Monday 1, according to preliminary data from the Bloomberg international currency quotation portal.
On Friday, the last day of June, the US currency began its run at S/3.8275 and then progressed to the official close of S/3.8440 set by the Central Reserve Bank (BCRP).
At the local level, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported that the annualized inflation in Metropolitan Lima in June was 2.29%, while the monthly increase was 0.12%. Thus, the accumulated prices in the first half of the year rose 1.57%.
