China Media Group and Grupo La República sign cooperation agreement

This publishing house reached an agreement with the giant Chinese media conglomerate that will allow them to exchange and co-produce content, in addition to strengthening the friendship between China and Peru.

La República Group and China Media Group signed a cooperation agreement on Friday through which they will be able to co-produce content, share information on technological innovation and have the possibility of exchanging personnel to contribute to their training. President Dina Boluarte and Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the signing of this important agreement.

The memorandum of this deal also allows for cooperation in cultural matters and media promotion of both countries in order to promote the bilateral relationship based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. It also establishes that both conglomerates make use of their strengths to improve cooperation in content distribution and market exploration.

The agreement will be valid for one year and will be automatically renewed every twelve months. It also establishes that for each cooperation project, the parties will sign separate agreements.

A giant as an ally

The China Media Group (CMG) is a powerful news conglomerate created in 2018 that brings together the following state media: China Central Television, China National Radio and China International Radio.

In January this year, a report by CGTN en Español, one of the channels of China Central Television, reported that CMG has 191 international offices with which it has built a communication network covering 67 countries and regions around the world. The number of its international users already exceeds 700 million.

CMG is chaired by Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. Starting this year, CMG will officially have a press office in Peru.
