The Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (midis) is the body in charge of administering the Household Targeting System (Sisfoh), an essential tool that classifies citizens according to their socioeconomic situation. The main mission of this platform is to ensure that state aid, social programs and free services are effectively allocated to those who really need them.

For this reason, some people who inquire about their socioeconomic status do not appear in the government system as being in ‘poverty’ or ‘extreme poverty’. In this situation, in this note we explain what you can do if you consider that the information is not updated.

Sisfoh: If I don’t classify as ‘non-poor’, what should I do to update the information?

If you do not classify yourself as ‘poor’ when you make the inquiry and you consider that your situation should be re-evaluated, it is necessary to update your socioeconomic classification (CSE). To do this, you must go to the Local Registration Unit (ULE) of the district where you reside. This request is made only once.
