Exchange rate rose today, Wednesday, June 26, to S/3.8280

The dollar closed the session with an increase of 0.37% compared to S/3.8140 on Tuesday.

According to the BCRP, the exchange rate ended today, Wednesday, June 26, at S/3.8280. It marked an increase of 0.37% compared to the day before, when it stood at S/3.8140.

From Renta4 SAB they specify that the green currency had an upward behavior due to corporate demand, and ranged between S/3.815 and S/3.8260. A total of US$591 million were negotiated at an average of S/3.8204.

In the parallel market, specifically Jirón de la Unión, The purchase of the greenback is S/3.79 and the sale is S/3.83; while at the banking level, it is S/3,825 and S/3,841, respectively.

Fabiola Gutiérrez, currency trader at Renta4 SAB, adds that today the result of construction permits was known, which was higher than expected, while sales of new homes were 619,000, lower than the 636,000 that were expected.

“Thus, despite population growth, monetary policy continues to affect this sector due to the cost of loans,” he added.
