The average salary required by Peruvians is S/3,033 per month, presenting an increase of 0.53% compared to last month, according to the latest report from the Bumeran jobs portal. However, the figures vary according to the professional level. Along these lines, the salary requirement for the boss or supervisor segment is S/4,585, while for the semi-senior and senior level it is S/3,168 and for junior positions it is S/1,940.

Likewise, there are some specific job positions that are above average, with the best salaries sought by
the Peruvians. In the boss or supervisor segment, the job position that requires the highest intended salary is that of investments or investment projects with S/8,000.

For the senior and semi-senior segment, applications to fill positions in industrial security register the highest salary requirement with S/5,850. Meanwhile, in the junior segment, the occupational medicine position is the one with the highest salary requirement, with S/3,500.

“This trend could be due to the fact that these positions are found in sectors where the complexity of operations and regulations is high, which requires professionals with technical knowledge and decision-making capacity. Women receive about 9.5% less salary than men

The report recorded a wage gap of 9.47%, where the average salary requested by men is S/3,180 per month and the salary required by women is S/2,905.

Likewise, there is a great distance between the applications. On the one hand, 39.7% of the total applications are from women, while 60.3% are from men. Compared to the previous month, there was only a 1% increase in female applications.

Along these lines, at semi-senior or senior levels, the gap widens to 34.32% for women and 65.68% for men. In the case of boss or supervisor positions, the proportion of female applications is even lower, representing 28.93%, in contrast to 71.07% for men.
