Attention, pensioner. Within the framework of the Complementary Mining Benefit, the Pension Normalization Office (ONP) announced the delivery of the so-called Mining Bonus. According to Law No. 25009, regulated by Law No. 27252, thousands will benefit from this State subsidy. Last year, the ONP reported that it included nearly 29,000 retirees who met the requirements established for said delivery. Below, learn the details about the bonus, how this benefit is calculated for each pensioner and other important details to collect without problems when it is enabled.
It is worth mentioning that this bond is backed by the Complementary Mining, Metallurgical and Steel Retirement Fund (FCJMMS), created by Law No. 29741. This fund is made up of 0.5% of the annual income of mining, metallurgical and steel companies, as well as 0.5% of the gross remuneration of workers in the same sector. The entity in charge of the total collection of these amounts is the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat).
List of beneficiaries and payment date of the 2024 Mining Bonus
The official government website indicates that the list of beneficiaries of the 2024 mining bonus is made up of the members of the Complementary Mining, Metallurgical and Steel Retirement Fund (FCJMMS) registered until December 31, 2023 and who meet the established requirements. The subsidy reaches eligible retirees within the laws No. 25009 (National Pension System) and the Law No. 27252 (Private Pension System).
On the other hand, the subsidy also includes those who are beneficiaries of widowhood and orphanhood pensions. The start of payment of the Mining Bonus is scheduled for Monday, July 15 of this year.
This is how you can collect the 2024 Mining Bonus:
To receive the Mining Bonus 2024, retirees and other people reached by this benefit do not have to carry out any procedure. According to current regulations, the subsidy will be paid into the same bank accounts of the National bank in which the retirement pension is deposited. This method includes both pensioners who belong to the ONP and retirees in the private system, that is, AFP. For users who do not receive their pension at this State banking entity, a savings account will be created in the name of the beneficiary at the Banco de la Nación.
In this sense, the ONP warns that, to avoid setbacks in the collection of this subsidy, users must have their card and access code enabled to avoid setbacks.
