EsSalud and its 4 financial subsidies: check with DNI if you can collect the bonus for breastfeeding, funeral and more

EsSalud, Peru’s Social Health Insurance, is a public entity that offers medical care and economic benefits to its members, including active workers, pensioners and their dependents. Its mission is to guarantee the well-being and health of its policyholders, providing a variety of services ranging from health prevention and promotion to disease treatment and rehabilitation.

In addition, EsSalud provides a series of financial subsidies to its policyholders to support them in different life circumstances. These bonds are designed to offer financial relief in various situations such as the birth of a child, temporary disability, maternity and funeral of an insured.

Breastfeeding is crucial for the healthy development and growth of newborns, as it provides them with necessary nutrients and protects them against various diseases. For this reason, Social Health Security provides financial support to pregnant women or women who have just given birth, as long as they are insured.
