In a statement, the pensioners of Hego Euskal Herria have indicated that the mobilizations called in the Basque capitals represent an “opportunity” for convergence with workers, unions and young people.
The Pensioners Movement of Euskal Herria has called mobilizations for next January 15 and has indicated that they represent an “opportunity” so that workers, unions and young people “converge” with pensioners in their claims.
“So that we support each other, let us fill the streets to reach the political institutions of Madrid, Gasteiz and Iruña, and the employers and other economic powers that we are not willing to swallow cuts in pensions, wages and other social rights“, they have indicated in a statement.
The Pensioners Movement will demonstrate on the occasion of its fourth anniversary next January 15 in the Basque capitals, to reject, among other issues, the pension reform approved in the Congress of Deputies.
In this sense, they have announced that they are also considering some closures from January 14 to 15 “if the conditions of prevention and health security allow it”, and even some “previous march” in the Left Bank that will start from Santurtzi and will culminate in Bilbao.
