Requirements:

EsSalud provides the subsidy or bonus for breastfeeding, which consists of an amount of S/820 aimed at mothers who have recently given birth. It is important to highlight that EsSalud clarifies that this amount is granted on a single occasion to the beneficiary mother.

Requirements:

• The baby must be the child of an insured holder of EsSalud. Likewise, if the mother of the infant is not a primary insured, she must be registered with Social Security.
• Have a history of contributions that covers three consecutive or four non-consecutive months during the six months prior to the delivery period.
• In the case of agricultural insured women, they must have three consecutive months of contributions or four non-consecutive months in the last 12 months before the pregnancy begins.
• Have an employment relationship at the time of birth.
• The nursing baby must be registered as the insured’s beneficiary.
• If the infant dies, posthumous registration must be carried out.
