Resources will allow the operation of the airports managed by Corpac, according to the MTC.
The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) authorized a transfer of S/113 million 83,520 to the Peruvian Airports and Commercial Aviation Corporation SA — Corpac.
According to RM 310-2024-MTC/01, these resources included in the public budget for this year will allow financing investments in airport equipment and infrastructure, key to the operation of the terminals managed by Corpac. It is worth adding that this entity requested monetary relief from the MTC.
It will also have a positive impact on the concessioned airports in which it provides air navigation services.
With more than S/113 million, lighting aid systems will be purchased for more than S/13 million; as well as an instrument landing system and an approach distance measurement system for S/35 million.
Meanwhile, S/32 million will go towards the acquisition of an aeronautical digital node and S/33 million for an automatic observations system.
The rule bears the signature of the head of the MTC, Raúl Pérez-Reyes, who announced days ago the reorganization of Corpac after failures in the lighting system on the landing strip of the Jorge Chávez International Airport. This Wednesday the 12th he will be questioned in Congress.
