At the end of April, payments were resumed to Fonavistas over 80 years of age who belong to the Reintegro 1 group and who previously received some financial advance. In addition, those affiliated with the National Disability Council (Conadis) and those who suffer from serious illnesses are included.

In recent statements to La República, Jorge Milla, member of the Fonavi Ad Hoc Commission, clarified the situation regarding the Reintegration 2 group that was going to be destined for the relatives of the deceased former contributors. According to the leader, this issue would be reconsidered to avoid saturation in the Banco de la Nación. In that sense, the group made up of around 400,000 Fonavistas would leave between the first or second week of July.

What documents must the relatives of deceased Fonavistas prove?

Relatives of deceased Fonavistas can collect the refund of contributions from the titular beneficiary without requiring the presentation of a will or intestate succession, as established by the ad hoc commission in charge of the procedure. In the case of forced heirs, they can receive reimbursement according to an order of priority.

Family members must present the necessary documents to collect the refund of contributions, such as the marriage, de facto union or birth certificate of the holder. The order is as follows:

  • In the first instance, the spouse or cohabitant
  • Secondly, the children
  • Parents
  • Brothers
  • Finally, the people who appear in the will or intestate succession, if any.

Fonavi refund: what documents do the heirs of Fonavistas need?

To begin the collection procedure, the forced heir must confirm whether the deceased Fonavista is on the lists published to date, consulting the web pages of the Technical Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Commission HERE. If so, he must present a sworn statement at any agency of the Banco de la Nación, attaching the DNI and the corresponding documentation as necessary.

  • Death certificate of the deceased Fonavista whose name is in any of the payment groups.
  • Marriage certificate or proof of registration of the de facto union, if the applicant is a surviving spouse or member of a de facto union.
  • Birth certificate of the deceased Fonavista, if the applicants are the parents.
  • Birth certificate, if the applicants are children.
  • Birth certificate of the applicants and the deceased beneficiary Fonavista, if the applicants are siblings.
  • Only the intestate succession or will is presented, if there are other beneficiaries.

What Fonavistas have been charging at the Banco de la Nación?

To date, the Fonavista beneficiaries who are receiving reimbursement of their contributions at the Banco de la Nación are those who belong to the following groups:

  • Payment groups from 1 to 19: former contributors from previous lists who were beneficiaries, but were unable to collect for various reasons.
  • Payment group 20: Fonavistas who are over 60 years of age, people with disabilities registered with Conadis, those who suffer from terminal illnesses and their heirs.
  • First Reimbursement Group: former contributors belonging to lists 1 to 19, which are made up of more than 153,000 senior citizens aged 80 and over. That is, those who have previously collected an amount of their contributions.
