Around five million formal workers in our country could access the total withdrawal of Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) until December 31, 2024, if the rule approved by the Plenary of Congress on last Thursday, May 2, is promulgated. The Government of Dina Boluarte has 15 days to observe it or authorize its publication in the official newspaper El Peruano. If the Executive Branch observes the rule, the Congress of the Republic could approve it at its insistence, since it has the power to use that mechanism.
CTS withdrawal: how much time does the Government have to provide a response?
After the signing and delivery of the law’s signature, the Executive Branch has 15 business days to rule on the approved project, since according to article 79 of the Congressional regulations, that is the time established for the government to make any observations or provide its promulgation in the newspaper El Peruano.
